Overview

Bonelli is a public park at an elevation of approximately 1000'

The terrain is not technical, but navigation challenges include multiple climbs, thick growth with some thistles and cacti

No water has been placed on the course but is available in some of the picnic areas

This event uses app-based punching. There are no streamers in the terrain.

This is a Score-O event with a time limit of 2 hours

Schedule

DIY event - go at your convenience during park hours. Weekend afternoons can be busy, so are probably best avoided.

Important Notes for this event

We recommend that you download the app and the course prior to leaving for the site. That way you know that everything is working.
Because of Map and GPS inaccuracy, you should use the printed map for navigation. The control circles in the app may not be centered correctly on the map, but the app will punch in the correct place relative to the printed map.
 

Safety

We recommend that you bring water with you. There is no water placed on the course, although you may run into park water fountains.
If you go alone, please make sure someone knows when to expect you home and has a copy of the map.

Bonelli park is located near the 57 freeway north of I-10.
From either direction on the 57 Freeway take the exit to Raging Waters Dr/Via Verde. At the end of the ramp turn left on Via Verde and continue straight into the park. There is a $10/car entrance fee.
