Remote start is located about 500m from registration area; please allow sufficient time to get to the start. Restroom facilities are located along the walk near the east end of the South Fork Trailhead parking lot.
All camps are marked OUT OF BOUNDS and should be avoided.

The forest has not been used much over the last couple of years due to closures from fire and weather-related events. The result is that some of the foot paths and mapped rides have become indistinct. Commonly used trails connecting camps to Jenks Lake remain in good shape.
Foxtails were prevalent during field checking; gaiters are recommended for Orange and above courses.
Additional Information
An adventure pass is required to park in the parking lot.
Acceptable passes include Daily Forest Adventure Pass, Annual Forest Adventure Pass, or any National Interagency Recreational Pass. You may order a Daily Forest Adventure Pass through LAOC when you register.
To protect the safety of our volunteers and participants, the following protocols will be in place at this event:
Attendance by Pre-registration only. No day of event registration.
Assigned start times to ensure that large crowds do not gather
Maintain social distancing while waiting for your start
Bring your own water and snacks. No water will be placed on the course. We will have single serving bottles available at the start and finish.
Online pre-event beginner clinic information. While you are welcome to ask questions at the event, we will not gather people together for beginner instruction on Sunday.
Please do not attend if you are sick.

Standard LAOC fees:
Adult $13
Youth (20 and under) $10
Member discount $5
Children under 10 free (one free child per paying adult, additional children at the youth rate)
Daily Forest Adventure Pass $5
Although this is not a COOL scoring event, we will begin accepting COOL registrations for the 2023-2024 season at this event. For more information about the COOL youth league see this page.
Prepayment is encouraged and is the only way to pay with a credit card. The online preregistration system uses Paypal as the payment portal. Only cash or checks are accepted at the event site.
If you are happy paying with cash or check you may wish to wait to pay on site due to possible cancellation. Should the event be cancelled and you prepaid, you may opt to receive a refund or a credit for a future event.
Liability Waiver - Everyone must have a waiver on file. The registration system gives you an opportunity to accept the waiver for yourself or your family members. Minors whose registration is not handled by a parent/guardian must print out the form and bring it with them with a parent/guardian signature.
