Overview
Join us for the NJROTC Area Championships at Bonelli. There should be some intense competition and a great set of Classic courses by Sergey Biryukov. This will also be a scoring event for the COOL League.

Additional Information
This event is being held in cooperation with the County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation under a core program partnership agreement.
This event will be the area championships for NJROTC. Awards will be presented once the results are finalized. Plan to stick around and cheer on our youth!
EMBARGO!
Effective Immediately, Bonelli Regional Park is off limits for all schools, cadets, or individuals that participate in the school year 2024-2025 CA Area 21 Orienteering Championship.
On the day of the event, until the awards ceremony begins, all cadets are required to remain in the picnic area shown as an open window on the map linked below. Entering embargoed areas may result in disqualification for you, your team, or your entire unit.
NJROTC Units - Please read both the LOI and Registration Instructions before filling out your registration forms.
The following standard LAOC protocols will be in place at this event:
Please pre-register. $10 additional fee per person for on-site registration dependent on map availability. No on-site registration for NJROTC Championship entries.
Assigned start times to effect the NJROTC Championships. Registration form asks for your start time preference. Your preference is not guaranteed. The earlier you register, the more likely that you get your preferred start. Members of the same NJROTC unit will be spaced apart from each other in the start list.
Bring your own water and snacks. No water will be placed on the course. We will have water available at the assembly area.
Please take advantage of our online pre-event beginner clinic information. If you need additional training or have questions, let us know when you arrive. On-site training will depend on volunteer availability.
Please do not attend if you are sick.
Registration and Pricing
Registration has now reopened and will close on January 30th at midnight. If you registered prior to January 12th, your registration is still valid for February 2nd. Check the Registration List to see if you are registered. If you need to cancel or change your registration due to the date change, please contact the registrar.
There is a $10 late fee to register on site. This event is expected to be very full. On-site registrants may have a significant wait for a start time.
NJROTC units may make changes to rosters on site if necessary, but may not add any additional entries.

DO NOT REGISTER YOURSELF MORE THAN ONCE. If you make a mistake that needs to be fixed, contact the registrar. If you need to pay after completing the registration process, use the link that is included in your registration confirmation email.
Standard LAOC fees:
Adult $13
Youth (20 and under) $10
Member discount $5
Children under 10 free (one free child per paying adult, additional children at the youth rate)
Additional $2 estick rental if you don't own your own
$10 per person additional for on-site late registration
Prepayment is encouraged and is the only way to pay with a credit card. The online registration system uses Paypal as the payment portal. Only cash or checks are accepted at the event site.
Liability Waiver - Everyone must have a waiver on file. The registration system gives you an opportunity to accept the waiver for yourself or your family members. Minors whose registration is not handled by a parent/guardian must print out the form and bring it with them with a parent/guardian signature.
