Map and Course Notes

ISOM map updated in 2024 by Clare Durand

Map Scale

➔ 1:7,500 White, Yellow, Orange, Brown

➔ 1:10,000 Green, Red

Classic Point-to-point courses

White (basic): 1.8km 130m climb

Yellow (intermediate) : 2.2km 160m climb

Orange (advanced): 2.9km 225m climb

Brown (short expert): 2.5km 185m climb

Green (expert): 3.2km 240m climb

Red (long expert): 4.0km 280m climb

Course setter notes:

Due to recent rains, dense undergrowth—mainly grasses reaching three feet or higher in places—has developed. Runnability is generally better along ridges and in white (oak) forest. Gaiters or long socks and long pants are recommended for orange and higher courses.

Bee Hives

All courses pass close by a beekeeping location. It’s located on the left side (west) of

the trail as runners move to the north along the trail. Keep to the right side of the trail

as you pass by.

Additional Information

Firestone requires that we provide them with a roster of those entering the property prior to the event. Therefore, we will not be able to accommodate day of event registrations.

In addition, anyone who is coming to the event must register, even if not running a course, in order to be on this roster. Chaperones, volunteers, and others who won't run can register as not participating and there is no fee for that.

The following standard LAOC protocols will be in place at this event:

  • Pre-registration required, including non-participants. NO Day of Event Registration.

  • Assigned start blocks. Registration form asks for your start time preference. Your preference is not guaranteed. The earlier you register, the more likely that you get your preferred start.

  • Bring your own water and snacks. No water will be placed on the course. We will have water available at the assembly area.

  • Please take advantage of our online pre-event beginner clinic information. If you need additional training or have questions, let us know when you arrive. On-site training will depend on volunteer availability.

  • Please do not attend if you are sick.

Liability Waiver - Everyone must have a waiver on file. The registration system gives you an opportunity to accept the waiver for yourself or your family members. Minors whose registration is not handled by a parent/guardian must print out the form and bring it with them with a parent/guardian signature.

Registration and Pricing

Registration is now open and will close on Thursday, March 5 at midnight.

NO DAY OF EVENT REGISTRATION. EVERYONE ENTERING THE PROPERTY MUST BE REGISTERED. YOU CAN REGISTER AS NOT PARTICIPATING IF NECESSARY.
