Rolling hills and fast running picnic areas give Schabarum its unique mix. Join us for the final event of the COOL season. Open to the public.

Course Setter Notes:
Safety bearing is the park road that travels down the middle of the park.
Hazards include poison oak in and around some of the low areas, cactus, and other vegetation. Long pants/gaiters strongly recommended.
Wildlife includes rattlesnakes, coyotes, and mountain lions. Picture of park warning sign.
Be aware of traffic when road running. There is a 15mph speed limit in the park but don’t count on drivers seeing you.
Please detour around occupied picnic areas.
With the recent rain the park is wet and muddy in spots. Traction can be difficult on some of the steeper hill trails. You may want to bring an extra pair of shoes/socks to change into when done.
Please walk if your route takes you near the horses or the horse training area in the SE corner of the map.
The map is an older map and next in line to be updated by the Club. Some of the vegetation has changed and trails may be overgrown in spots. There is a fenced in dog park near the northwest corner of the park that is not shown on the map.

This event is being held in cooperation with the County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation under a core program partnership agreement.
The following standard LAOC protocols will be in place at this event:
Please pre-register. $10 additional fee per person for on-site registration dependent on map availability.
Assigned start blocks. Registration form asks for your start time preference. Your preference is not guaranteed. The earlier you register, the more likely that you get your preferred start.
Bring your own water and snacks. No water will be placed on the course. We will have water available at the assembly area.
Please take advantage of our online pre-event beginner clinic information. If you need additional training or have questions, let us know when you arrive. On-site training will depend on volunteer availability.
Please do not attend if you are sick.

Registration is now open and will close on Thursday, March 7 at midnight.
Standard LAOC fees:
Adult $13
Youth (20 and under) $10
Member discount $5
Children under 10 free (one free child per paying adult, additional children at the youth rate)
estick rental $2 (unless you have your own)
$10 per person additional for on-site late registration
Prepayment is encouraged and is the only way to pay with a credit card. The online preregistration system uses Paypal as the payment portal. Only cash or checks are accepted at the event site.
Liability Waiver - Everyone must have a waiver on file. The registration system gives you an opportunity to accept the waiver for yourself or your family members. Minors whose registration is not handled by a parent/guardian must print out the form and bring it with them with a parent/guardian signature.
