Annual Youth Meet 2026

Saturday February 7th was a bit of a jamboree for the Annual Youth Meet! The morning was a point-to-point event course followed by an Afternoon Score-O. Our course setter, Rich, was kept on his toes, as aggressive dog activity in a section of the park forced him to change some control locations and hand edit the Score-O maps at the last minute.

We had 60 Teams out on the course, including a handful of adults out. And the routes were littered with waist high flowers, butterflies and birds to add to festivities.

The Overall Troop Winners for the two events were:

· Boy Scout Troop 316, Eastvale, with 40 points

· Boy Scout Troop 333, South Pasadena, with 34.80 points

· Boy Scout Troop 394, Cerritos, with 29 points

· Sea Cadets, Redondo Beach, with 26.68 points

Troop 333 made our day by plying the LAOC Volunteers with grilled burgers! Yum! Thanks, Bob and Troop 333!!!
