Around 70 orienteers attended this year's Valentine Score-O at Bonelli Park. Joe Vlietstra updated the maps overnight to account for the last minute changes made on Saturday so the course looked perfect (thanks, Joe!). One control went missing overnight and it was the highest scoring point on the course. Credit was given to everyone who indicated that they visited the area and couldn't find the control.
This year's course covered more ground than last year and no one cleaned the course in the time limit. Adult Team "All gas no breaks" did manage to get to everything, but with a 22 second overage and a five point penalty to just miss that perfect score. Other top scorers included Mikhail Biryukov and Lauren Gao in the junior classes and Alex Kiperman and Olga Urbanovskaia in the adult classes. Family team Zack's group was tops in their class. And the coveted Valentine Pairs title went to David and Alison Saunders of London OK.
