Bonelli Youth Meet Feb 2023

The 26th LAOC Youth Meet attracted about 100 youth and adults representing 7 different BSA and GSUSA units. We are clearly in a rebuilding phase with most of the entries being beginners. Troop 594 showed their emergency skills by blowing their whistle after an injury and getting help from a park patron and the park lifeguards. Even after their harrowing experience, they still managed to finish the course. GSUSA Troop 8236 from Van Nuys were the big winners of the day. They swept the White Open score-O competition with some of the best youth scores of the afternoon. That, combined with consistent performances on the morning White course, led them to victory.

Overall awards are based on a formula that averages the performances of all of a unit's teams. To be eligible, you must have at least three teams that compete in both the morning and afternoon courses.

2nd Place 31.7 BSA 594 Rosemead

3rd Place 31.3 BSA 316 Jurupa Valley

4th Place 30.3 BSA 555 Huntington Beach

5th Place 23.5 BSA 333 South Pasadena

6th Place 17.6 BSA 1931 Newport Beach
