El Dorado Youth Meet 2022

El Dorado Regional Park, Long Beach

After a pandemic induced hiatus, our 25th youth meet attracted just over 120 participants representing 14 different troops and youth organizations. Wonderful weather at El Dorado made for a great day and everyone stayed for both the morning and afternoon events. Top performances included Silas and Jonathan from Troop 333, who whizzed through White in just under 13 minutes. Tommy and Ben of Troop 33 won the Yellow course in 33 minutes. Brendan and Joshua S of Troop 349 were the big winners of the day, completing the Orange course in 33 minutes and then being the only team to successfully gather all points on the afternoon score-O in the one hour time limit.

Overall awards are based on a formula that averages the performances of all of a unit's teams. To be eligible, you must have at least three teams that compete in both the morning and afternoon courses. Troop 33 took top honors with three strong teams running yellow.
