Despite the constant downpour, we had a good turn out at Barton Flats. But it rained All. Day. Long. And some of our volunteers are still trying to dry out. Competitors included 5 ROTC Schools representing: Centennial (Las Vegas), El Dorado (Las Vegas), La Habra, Martin Luther King, and Troy. Both the weather and the courses were challenging, with a lot of mud and DNFs.
The winners of the drowned rats prizes:
Advanced Long: Michael Noblett from SDO was the fastest overall with Kaileo Truong from Troy coming in second as the fastest junior
Advanced: Jaxson Ward from Centennial was the fastest overall, followed by the dynamic duo of Olga and Vladislav Urbanovskiy (fastest adults)
Intermediate: Sofia Somava, junior female, was the fastest overall, with Noah Ratzlaff from La Habra coming in second as fastest junior male. Maximus Martinez was fastest adult male and Katerina Biryukova was the fastest adult female.
Beginner: Jucian Jensen from La Habra was the fastest overall and Mikayla Ybarra from Troy was the fastest junior female. Wayne Cottrell was the fastest adult male.
